Know What's Happening

You added a domain 5 minutes ago and it shows 'Pending'. Is something wrong? Should you wait? Should you check your DNS? The status indicator tells you exactly what's happening and what to do next.

Status Types at a Glance

Status What It Means What To Do
Active (Green) Everything working - ready to use Nothing - you're all set
Pending (Yellow) DNS verification in progress Wait 5-30 minutes
Failed (Red) DNS not pointing correctly or verification failed Check DNS settings and retry

Status Indicators Explained

DNS Configured

Indicator Meaning
Green checkmark with 'DNS configured correctly' DNS correctly points to 64.225.81.205 or hq.elkqr.com
No indicator shown DNS not yet verified or pointing incorrectly

What Each Status Means

Active: Your domain is fully working. DNS is correct, SSL certificate is valid, and QR codes will redirect through your domain.

Pending: Just added the domain and waiting for verification. DNS changes take time to propagate globally. Usually resolves in 5-30 minutes.

Failed: DNS is not pointing correctly or verification failed. Check that your A record points to 64.225.81.205 or CNAME points to hq.elkqr.com. Also check for duplicate or conflicting DNS records.

Tip
